The franchise disclosure register is administered by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC).

The purpose of the register is to:

  • increase franchisor transparency
  • give people access to franchise disclosure information
  • help potential franchise buyers, current franchisees and their advisers make informed business decisions.

The register operates in addition to other information disclosure obligations under the Franchising Code of Conduct. If you’re a franchisor, you must understand all your disclosure obligations. Failure to comply may lead to penalties.

The register or the Australian Government does not endorse any franchisor. Franchise information on the register is provided by franchisors. The register is only as accurate as the information provided.

Read the register’s terms of use.
